Newert Presents ‘VitalTrack EEG’ at the 1st Fall Conference of the Korean BCI Society

Jo You-sub, Head of the R&D Team, and Researcher Lim Ye-sul participated in the “1st Fall Conference of the Korean BCI Society 2026,” held on October 1 at Sungkyunkwan University’s Natural Sciences Campus, where they presented the 8-channel electroencephalogram (EEG) measurement board “VitalTrack EEG.”
Held under the slogan “The Future Starts Here,” this three-day conference—running from September 30 to October 2—was Korea’s first academic conference dedicated exclusively to BCI. Researchers and companies in the field of brain-computer interfaces (BCI) gathered to share their latest research findings.

VitalTrack EEG is characterized by its combination of 8-channel EEG measurement capabilities with accelerometer and gyroscope sensors. EEG signals are prone to noise interference caused by head movements or changes in posture; however, recording motion data simultaneously allows for the identification and correction of such interference. A key advantage is the ability to analyze EEG and motion on the same time axis without requiring separate equipment. The board is designed as a palm-sized PCB equipped with a USB-C port and a power switch, making it easy to integrate into wearable devices or headsets.

NewWort also introduced an EEG measurement platform alongside the board. This platform aims to preserve raw signals, measurement conditions, and experimental information intact all the way through the analysis stage. It consists of a measurement app that supports Android, iOS, Windows, and Linux; a Python-based SDK; and a data hub for storing and managing measurement data in CSV format, enabling researchers to collect data on the platform best suited to their environment and use it immediately for analysis.
The presentation was followed by a series of questions from researchers. Attendees actively exchanged opinions on the board’s specifications and ways to utilize the platform.
Building on this presentation, NewWort plans to expand the scope of VitalTrack EEG’s applications to include BCI research, emotion and cognitive state analysis, and healthcare wearables. The company stated that it intends to further refine both its hardware and software to enable easier and more accurate handling of EEG data in research settings.
