Newert Health

An app for connecting supported devices, monitoring individual and group biosignals, and reviewing period trends, analysis reports, and raw or biomarker CSV files.

Product overview

What does it measure and what do you get?

Primary use

Individual and group metrics

Review measurement status and supported heart, HRV, activity, and fitness metrics for connected participants.

Interfaces

Mobile app + web console

Connect devices in the mobile app, then monitor multiple participants and detailed results in the web console.

Availability

With EmoConnect PRO

Newert Health is not a separate free edition. It is used with an active EmoConnect PRO subscription.

Designed for these workflows

Principal investigators

Use it when you need one view of measurement progress and key biomarkers across multiple participants.

Field operators

Use it to check participant connections, battery, measurement status, and supported route information during a session.

Data analysts

Use it when raw sensor files and calculated biomarker files must be separated for downstream analysis.

How to measure

Use Newert Health in five steps

Follow the actual mobile and web-console flow. Available metrics may vary with the connected device and measurement conditions.

Before you start · Prepare these four items before measuring

01

Supported device

Review the available EmoConnect, BioLink Band, or Apple Watch connection option in the app. Available metrics vary by device.

02

PRO account

Sign in with a Newert Health account that has active EmoConnect PRO access.

03

Bluetooth and permissions

Enable Bluetooth and allow the nearby-device permissions required by the operating system. Review location permission if route features are needed.

04

Group and participant IDs

For multi-user monitoring, add participants to the same group and prepare non-identifying participant codes.

  1. STEP 1

Sign in and select a device

Choose the device type in the Newert Health mobile app and refresh the nearby-device list. Confirm the target device name before connecting.

    • Make sure the device is powered on and nearby
    • Disconnect it from any other phone or program
    • Record the device name and participant code
Newert Health English mobile device selection screen
The public example uses an anonymous account. Device identifiers are shown only as demonstration values.
  2. STEP 2

    Review live group measurement status

Use Live overview to check each participant's connection, battery, heart rate, RMSSD, steps, and activity intensity in one place.

    • Separate Measuring from Disconnected status
    • Prioritize devices with low battery
    • Use name search and Measuring first sorting
Newert Health English live group overview
View measurement progress and key metrics as tiles or a table.
  3. STEP 3

Open participant metrics and the route view

Select a participant to review heart rate, SDNN, RMSSD, SpO₂, temperature, activity metrics, and a supported route view.

    • Confirm the selected participant code
    • Check the unit and measurement time for each metric
    • For route data, verify location permission and GPS reception
    Newert Health English participant details
Available fields depend on the connected device, sensors, and measurement conditions.
  4. STEP 4

Review trends and the analysis report

Select measured days in the calendar and compare daily, weekly, or monthly changes in heart, HRV, SpO₂, temperature, activity, and fitness metrics. Open the analysis report when enough data is available.

    • Confirm that the selected period contains valid measurement days
    • Separate average, maximum, minimum, and first-to-last change
    • Treat scores and risk summaries as measurement summaries, not diagnoses
    Newert Health English period trends
Change the period and metric tabs to compare trends.
  5. STEP 5

Save the CSV required for downstream analysis

In Settings, check whether local raw-sensor and biomarker CSV saving are enabled. The raw and PRO biomarker files serve different purposes, so review the comparison and samples below.

    • Confirm storage permission and file location
    • For biomarker CSV files, confirm active PRO access
    • Review headers, units, and missing values before analysis

Frequently asked questions

Are there separate free and PRO editions of Newert Health?

No. Newert Health is a PRO-only app used with an active EmoConnect PRO subscription. The Basic column in the comparison refers to the raw sensor output from a standard measurement.

Can every connected device provide every metric shown here?

No. Available metrics vary by device, sensor configuration, permissions, app version, and measurement conditions. Confirm the device and required metrics before deployment.

Should I use the raw or biomarker CSV?

Use raw data when you need your own filtering or algorithm development. Use the PRO biomarker CSV when you need calculated heart, HRV, activity, and related metrics for immediate analysis.

Can I measure without using group location?

Measurement and location serve different purposes. Decide whether location is needed for your operating scenario. Some operating systems may display related permission prompts during Bluetooth discovery.

Can the analysis report be used for medical diagnosis?

No. The scores and reports summarize measurements for research and monitoring support. They do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment decisions.
