Newert SDK Use Cases

Compare app-based measurement, post-session CSV analysis, and real-time integration to choose the SDK approach that fits your goal.

Product overview

What does it measure and what do you get?

App

Measure and review now

Use an existing interface to review signals or metrics and save a file.

CSV

Analyze after measurement

Move saved raw or biomarker data into an existing analysis tool.

SDK

Real-time custom integration

Build device discovery, connection, and stream reception into your own app or service.

Designed for these workflows

Custom research UI developers

Control study tasks and PPG or IMU in one research program.

Service integration teams

Include device connection and measurement inside an existing app or operating system.

Automated analysis pipelines

Move measurements automatically into storage, preprocessing, and analysis code.

How to use

Choose the right approach in four steps

The required development scope differs between an existing measurement screen and integration into your own service.

Before you start · Define the use case in four parts

01

Users and screens

Define who connects the device, starts measurement, and views which results.

02

Signals and metrics

Choose PPG, nine-axis IMU, events, processed waveform, or calculated biomarkers.

03

OS and technology

Confirm the target, such as Flutter on Android or iOS or Python on Windows or Linux.

04

Storage and analysis flow

Define live display, local CSV, server transfer, Datahub, and the next processing stage.

  1. STEP 1

Check whether an existing app is enough

Use EmoConnect PPG&Motion for live signal and session CSV, or Newert Health for metrics and group dashboards, before choosing custom development.

    • Can the existing UI support operations?
    • Can the app save the required file?
    • Is a separate user interface required?
  2. STEP 2

    Use CSV for post-session analysis

If real-time control is unnecessary and the next step is Excel, Python, or MATLAB, begin with the raw or biomarker CSV.

    • Confirm fields and units
    • Separate raw and calculated metrics
    • Define file transfer and retention
  3. STEP 3

Choose the SDK for real-time integration

Choose the SDK for your target operating system when your program must control discovery, connection, stream reception, and measurement end.

    • Confirm OS and development environment
    • Define live UI, event, and storage requirements
    • Confirm offline and network conditions
SDK support for Android, iOS, Windows, and Linux
Select the SDK and development environment for the target operating system.
  4. STEP 4

    Decide PRO and data-management scope

Review PRO when you need a Smart Noise Filtering waveform or advanced metrics, and consider Datahub when multiple study files and contexts need structured management.

    • Can you analyze raw signals yourself?
    • Do you need processed waveform or advanced metrics?
    • Will data move to Datahub or your own server?

Review a sample file first

Check the file structure, columns, and units before measuring so that you can prepare your analysis pipeline in advance.

Research measurement UI

Combine study tasks, signal reception, and events in one program.

Field operations app

Control connection and measurement in your own mobile UI.

Raw Data storage

Store PPG and IMU by session and participant.

Real-time analysis

Pass received data to preprocessing, visualization, or custom algorithms.

Platform connection

Continue to your own server, Datahub, or another data-management stage.

Before contacting support

Check these items in order

01

I do not know whether I need the app or SDK

  1. 1.Can users work in the existing Newert app?
  2. 2.Must your own screen use data during measurement?
  3. 3.Is a post-session CSV enough?
  4. 4.Do you need a separate account or server flow?
02

I do not know whether I need Basic or PRO

  1. 1.Can you analyze raw PPG and IMU yourself?
  2. 2.Do you need a processed waveform?
  3. 3.Do you need calculated HRV or activity metrics?
  4. 4.Attach the required metric list to your inquiry.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the SDK if I only analyze a CSV?

If you do not need real-time control and an existing app can save the required file, you can begin with CSV without an SDK.

Does the SDK include a finished application screen?

No. It provides development components for connection and data reception. Build your own UI or use an existing Newert app.

Can I use identical code on every operating system?

The workflow is shared, but packages and environments differ. Use the README and samples supplied with the purchased version for exact functions and initialization.

Is Datahub mandatory?

No. Choose it when files and study context need platform management. If you use your own storage, your team must design retention, security, and search.
